Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko is Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thai fighter for the UFC's flyweight division. She is also the elder sister of former UFC Flyweight champ and the fellow UFC athlete Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sport career by becoming an Muay Thai Kickboxer and debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko won the tournament and beat Suzane Miller in the finals via unanimous decision. Antonina was able to continue her professional career after getting bronze and silver medal in 2008 and 2007 respectively, and a gold medal in 2011, as well as the year-end 2016 IFMA amateur Muay Thai world champion. Antonia started her professional career in with her debut in 2003. Shevchenko took a break from MMA in order to concentrate on the sport of kickboxing. She made her return to fight Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa Haddaoui in the unanimous verdict. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in the same decision. She resigned from the organization and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina utilized her striking abilities and striking skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch by knees on the body. Antonina accepted the UFC deal following her win. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Strikes Finale in the fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi in a split-decision fight, after prevailing in the initial fight via unanimous decision. Antonina rebounded from her loss to defeat Lucie Pudilova by choking her back in a rear-naked submission in the second round UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned an extra fight in the night for this fight. Shevchenko fell to Katlyn as well as Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She fought Ariane Lipski, and beat Ariane.
